Jamie was born in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1967 moving to the UK at the age of three. Jamie left school at sixteen and began as an apprentice working for a printing company. Much of the experience that Jamie gained in this job he still puts to use today as he undertakes the proofing and quality control of all his limited edition prints personally.
It was not until 2002 that Jamie discovered a love of animals and with it a renewed passion for drawing, this talent soon became more than just an interest.
Jamie likes to spend a lot of time getting to know the individual animals that he draws. Many of the animals featured in Jamie's prints are housed at Marwell Zoo where Jamie can regularly be seen photographing and observing the animals and it is this attention to detail which allows Jamie to successfully translate the character of the animal and also his passion for wildlife through his drawings.
Jamie's original artwork is much sought after and is regularly exhibited throughout the UK. Jamie has released commissioned images for the animal welfare and conservation charity The Born Free Foundation. He has also exhibited his work at countless wildlife exhibitions throughout the UK with his original artwork sitting in many private and corporate collections throughout Europe.
